James Canty’s work is rooted in immersive hyper-reality, colour, affect theory and subculture. His work is structural, physical and expressive. The use of strong colours with raw imagery signify his experience within hyper-realities. Transportation of a viewer to another world, and the way viewers interact with his art in space are of the utmost importance to Canty.
